Job Opportunity – Plant Equipment Fitter / Mobile Van Mechanic / HGV Trailer Fitter (Full Time)

Job Summary

Experienced HGV Mechanic or Plant Equipment Fitter required for the maintenance, servicing and repair of HGV articulated trailers.

Available positions:

· Onsite workshop staff

· Mobile Van & 24hr Breakdown call out.

Successful candidates will become part of our production team responsible for:

· Inspection & assessment of articulated trailers

· General maintenance & repairs

Skills will be useful and candidates can be trained in the specific requirements for HGV articulated trailers.

· Truck Mechanics

· Plant Equipment Maintenance & Fitting

· Commercial Vehicles

· Equipment Technician

· Diesel Plant Fitting

· Car Mechanics

Candidates with the following have a distinct advantage:

· ABS/EBS qualifications and diagnostic skills

· CVRT Testing

· Truck License – Category C and above

· A desire to progress in their role

Key Duties/Responsibilities

· Inspecting, servicing and repairing HGV trailers in line with manufacturers recommendations.

· Ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard.

· Take instructions from supervisors & managers of work to be completed.

· Liaise with supervisors & managers regarding additional work that is not mentioned on the original work order.

· Good diagnostic skills.

· Good communication skills.

· Good team player.

· Complete and keep track of all required paper work & documentation.

· Participating in all scheduled training as required by the company.

· Reporting any defective or inadequate tools and equipment.

· Strive for continuous improvement in our workshop
